A BODY has been found in the search for missing Coventry woman Reanne Coulson, and a man has been charged with her murder.
Police made the discovery in Binley Woods this afternoon (Friday June 27).
Formal identification is yet to take place but the family of 34-year-old Reanne have been informed and are being supported by officers.
Mohammed Durnion, 42, was arrested as part of the investigation into her disappearance and has now been charged with murder. He has been remanded to appear before Coventry Magistrates Court tomorrow (Saturday June 28).
Adam Moore, 38, from Coventry, has also been charged with assisting an offender. He will appear before the same court tomorrow.
Det Supt Jim Munro, from West Midlands Police’s Major Crime Unit, said: “We’ve been focused on doing all we can to find Reanne and our thoughts remain with her family at this deeply distressing time.
“While formal identification still needs to take place, we do believe it is Reanne.
“We’ve charged a man with murder, and another for assisting an offender, but our enquiries to establish exactly what happened and why are ongoing.
“We’ll continue to update and support Reanne’s family.”
Reanne’s older brother Ashley thanked the public for everything they did to help find Reanne, and asked that the family be left alone to grieve at this difficult time.
