EMERGENCY SERVICES were called to Broadgate this EMERGENCY SERVICES were called to Broadgate this afternoon after a man cut himself with a bladed object in the city centre.
Police were called to Broadgate, city centre, Coventry at around 12 noon today (11 April) following reports of a man in possession of a bladed article.
A man believed to be in his thirties, with minor injuries, was detained under the mental health act and is currently being supported by police and other agencies.
A West Midlands Ambulance spokesperson said: “One ambulance attended the scene at 12.05pm this afternoon where a patient was later taken to hospital.
“The police were in attendance throughout the incident.”
