BREAKING: Music legend Bruce Springsteen to return to Coventry this June

Coventry Editorial 19th Feb, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016

BRUCE Springsteen is returning to Coventry’s Ricoh Arena this summer as part of his European stadium tour.

Following sell-out dates across Europe, the music legend and The E Street band will play at the arena on Friday, June 3 this year.

‘The River Tour’ will start at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium on the May 25, before playing to Glasgow’s Hampden Park and The Ricoh Arena before culminating at London’s Wembley Stadium on June 5.

Sprinsteen’s latest announcement follows his sell-out concert at the Ricoh on June 20, 2013 and also follows the recent announcement that the venue will host international pop star Rihanna and music event MTV Crashes.

“Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be entertaining new and old fans alike with their string of classic hits spanning from the 1970s to their latest tracks,” said Andy Gibb, managing director of the Ricoh Arena.

“Everyone who was at the Ricoh Arena for their Wrecking Ball world tour three years ago will remember their stunning tribute to their good friend and Sopranos actor James Gandolfini when they played the Born to Run album from start to finish.

“No other artist has played for so long at the Ricoh Arena – particularly without a break – which is testament to his massive catalogue of songs.

“I would encourage fans to buy their tickets as quickly as possible because we don’t want anyone to miss out on another memorable night at the Ricoh Arena.”

Tickets go on sale 9am on Thursday, February 25 from www.livenation.co.uk
