Bulldozer used to steal cash machine in Coventry store raid

POLICE are appealing for information after a bulldozer was used to steal a cash machine from a shop in Coventry on Saturday (November 11).

A group of two or three raiders used the vehicle to remove the ATM, before loading it into a white vehicle and driving off.

It happened at Co-op on Alfall Road, Stoke, at around 12.25am.

The scene remained cordoned off on Saturday while structural engineers assessed the damage to the building.

Detective Sergeant Andy Malin, from Force CID, said: “We are very keen to hear from witnesses who saw what happened, or anyone who has mobile phone or dashcam footage from the time.”

Call 101, quoting log 52 of 11 November. Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
