Coventry Editorial 24th Jun, 2020   0

A BURGLAR has been jailed after he broke into a flat in Coventry and stole an old television which was later described as ‘worthless’.

Ijah Cumberbatch was seen breaking into a vacant flat on Brunswick Road, Earlsdon on May 20 before he was seen leaving carrying the TV and getting into a taxi.

Officers were called days later when Cumberbatch was seen outside the flats and he was arrested.

At Leamington Crown Court last Wednesday (June 17), the 35-year-old of no fixed abode pleaded guilty to burglary and was jailed for two and a half years.
