WORCESTERSHIRE County Council’s Public Health Team sponsored the Health and Wellbeing Zone at this year’s Chamber Business Expo to highlight help it offers to workplaces, writes Matteo Pirelli.
Work Well Live Better highlights the importance of health and wellbeing in the workplace, with stands offering free activities, services and information.
The Public Health team will showcase Work Well Live Better – Worcestershire’s free programme to help businesses improve their employees’ health and wellbeing.
The scheme offers a monthly newsletter, twice-yearly showcase events, quarterly breakfast networking sessions and monthly virtual lunchtime bitesize sessions. Recent topics have covered important workplace issues such as menopause awareness and understanding neurodiversity.
Companies can also support their employees by helping them to give up smoking with the county’s free stop smoking services.
Lisa McNally, Director of Public Health for Worcestershire, said: “Healthy employees make strong business and so we are proud to sponsor the Health and Wellbeing Zone at the Chamber Business Expo.”
She added she was looking forward to talking about Work Well Live Better, which promoted inclusive, healthy and productive workplaces along with free stop smoking support.
Firms signing up to the programme can also access targeted support ranging from training, mentoring or support in writing policies and action plans.
Company leaders can also speak with a member of Worcestershire County Council’s business grants team to learn more about the support available, including pre-start advice and business coaching and grants for innovation and growth aimed at more established businesses.
