WEST Midlands Fire Service has released details of the number of calls it received over the Bonfire Night weekend.
From Friday at 7am to Saturday 7am, the brigade attended 172 incidents in total across the region – 10 of those were related to bonfires and three to fireworks.
Then, between Saturday at 7am and Sunday 7am, 252 incidents were attended in total – of those, 57 were bonfire-related and 12 involved fireworks.
And, between 7am on Sunday and 7am on Monday, WMFS attended 155 incidents with 15 involving bonfires and two relating to fireworks.
In total, the number of incidents over the Bonfire Night weekend was 579 in the West Midlands area with 82 because of bonfires and 17 directly identified as being caused by fireworks.
