A BY-ELECTION is set to take place on October 10, for Coventry’s St Michaels Ward following the resignation of Coun David Welsh.
The last date for candidates to submit nominations is Friday September 13 at 4pm.
After the deadline a list of candidates will be available on Coventry City Council’s website.
Residents who are currently registered to vote will receive a polling card between September 12 to 20.
Visit: gov.uk/registertovote to register to vote – the deadline is September 24.
If you are unable to attend the polling station, you can apply to vote by post.
Alternatively, you could apply for a proxy vote. The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on 25 September 25 and the deadline to apply for a proxy vote is 5pm on October 2.
