A UNIQUE American-style cafe in Ball Hill, Coventry, is up for sale after decades of service.
The Ball Hill Diner, known to Stoke residents for its Americana decor and big breakfasts, is set to change hands as owners Derek and Lesley Entwistle look to retire.
The couple have run the cafe since 1991, maintaining a 1950s American diner style, with coffee refills, American breakfasts and burgers on offer.
Derek said: “It’s been 29 years for us running the diner now, we are still very busy but it is getting a bit much for us now. We are selling up to retire.
“I won’t be doing nothing though, I’ve got to be a bit active so I will take a job for three days a week – I’m looking forward to having time to do up the house, and we have a holiday to Las Vegas planned.
“We’ve got loads of customers and deliveries – we have a great location, so we never need to advertise or do JustEat.
“I’m hoping it won’t be long until we can retire as the diner is priced just right and it is very profitable.
“I’ll be leaving all the fittings and conveniences, so whoever wants to take it over can start trading straight away.”
The diner is being sold freehold for £350,000 through Foster Lewis and Co, the agents said: “This excellent opportunity offering an extremely busy, profitable business within a large dining area over two floors, a fully equipped kitchen, second floor storage and rear outdoor garden area.”
