AN OPTICIANS in Canley has pledged its support for a local football club as part of its ongoing commitment to working with the local community.
Specsavers in Sainsbury’s, Canley, has teamed up with Coventry United Football Club to provide away kits for the Under 12s girls team as they get ready for the new season in the Coventry and Warwickshire Central League Division One.
Coventry United’s Under 12s manager Sukhjit Heer said: “We’re really grateful and excited to be teaming up with Specsavers Canley,
“We really appreciate the support for the players to continue playing for the club and allowing us to do more for sport in the area.”
Specsavers’ store director Harpreet Bhara added: “We are delighted to support Coventry United FC and contribute to the development of local sports talent
“It’s really important to us as a team to support local community groups and grassroots sports as it helps the youth with brilliant life skills.
“We look forward to hearing about how the season goes for the team and will be cheering them on as they progress.”
