BMW car drives into garden and smashes wall in Coventry

THIS image shows how a BMW car mounted a pavement and garden in Coventry.

The incident happened in Nod Rise, Woodlands ward.

The car careered into a dental practice, knocking over the sign.

It prompted Woodlands councillor Peter Male to tweet the photo, saying: “Further evidence that the roads around Woodlands Ward are unsafe.”

He also tweeted today a picture of another “significant” road traffic accident in Upper Eastern Green Lane which stopped traffic for some time.

He added: “WoodlandsWard councillors continue to campaign for road safety measures across the ward. Residents are extremely concerned that the LocalPlan approval next week will only make our roads more dangerous.”

Recent issues there have included prolonged roadworks at the Broad Lane roundabout near to Bannerbrook Park industrial estate.
