COVENTRIANS will be able to celebrate Chinese New Year with a fun-filled day at Lower Precinct Shopping Centre.
The year of the rabbit celebrations will start on Saturday, January 28 between 11am and 4pm, with visitors able to take part in Chinese-inspired activities such as Tai Chi and Qitong lessons.
There will also be a free spinning wheel competition where people can win prizes, and shoppers will be given fortune cookies and red envelopes, with some including shopping vouchers for Lower Precinct stores.
And centre mascot Lenny the Lion will be there to watch the traditional Chinese dragon dance.
Lower Precinct Centre Manager, Nicola Cormell said: “The Chinese New Year event was so popular last year that we had to celebrate it again this year.
“We are so excited to bring it back and to celebrate the Chinese Culture.”
