STAFF at Coventry’s Coombe Abbey Hotel are celebrating as the venue has retained its crown as the best hotel in the region in the Muddy Stilettos Awards.
The 12th-century venue received around 45 per cent of the vote to win the prize for the second successive year.
Coombe Abbey was also shortlisted for the best wedding venue.
Each regional winner will now be put forward for the first-ever National Muddy Awards, which will see winners across all 28 counties compete for the top prize in their category.
Coombe Abbey is managed by No Ordinary Hospitality Management.
Its head of marketing, Rebecca Freeman, said: “With more than 800,000 votes cast in the Muddy Awards this year, we are thrilled to have retained our regional title as the best hotel.
“These awards are a fantastic way to celebrate all the incredible organisations that are creating a real buzz about Coventry and Warwickshire’s leisure and hospitality industry.
“Winning by a public vote is a testament to our excellent members of staff working across the business to give our guests and visitors the best possible visit.”
