Celebration time at Coventry's Caludon Castle Sixth-Form as students achieve high in their A levels

STUDENTS from Caludon Castle Sixth Form in Coventry have been celebrating some impressive A level results, writes Morgan Hart.

The class of 2023 matched pre-Covid academic achievements.

Among the high achievers were Hannah Kaja-House, who gained two A*s and an A, securing a place at Cambridge University and Aimee Kelly who – with 3 A*s and an A – will be studying Speech and Language Therapy at Sheffield University. Sophia Fiddick – with an A*, two As and a B – is also off to Sheffield for a course in Bioengineering.

Cadan Hadley – who achieved three A*s and an A – will read Biomedicine at the University of Warwick.

Mia Horton is furthering her interest in sociology and will study the subject at Birmingham University. Elyza Matthews is also off to the Second City – her preferred choice for her medicine course.

Imperial College London will be where Yuxuan Lin studies maths having achieved 3A*s and a B;, while Maria Sanchez is going to Bournemouth to study animation production, having gained 2A*s and a D* in her studies. Finally, AJ Detubio has elected to take a rest from academia and is taking a gap year having achieved four As.

Headteacher Sarah Kenrick, Headteacher said; “The results that have been secured show the power of collective work and a strength of Caludon Castle.”

“We have found it a pleasure working with this cohort of young people and feel privileged to be able to celebrate in their successes.”

The school added – whether students were progressing onto degree programmes, apprenticeships or employment – it wished them all the best for their futures and thanked them for having chosen to be partof the Caludon Castle family.

“We look forward to hearing all the amazing things they achieve in the future.”
