The 38th annual Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji Charity Walk, organised by the Sikh Union Coventry, will be held on Sunday September 28.

It will raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association’s Coventry and Warwickshire branch, Lord Mayor’s charities, and projects supported by the union.

The nine mile walk will start and finish at Guru Nanak Parkash Gurdwara, calling at several Gurdwaras, Mandirs and Churches in the Foleshill area including the Lady Godiva statue in the city centre.

The Lord Mayor of Coventry, Coun Rachel Lanchester, will perform the ribbon cutting ceremony to start the walk along with ‘Lady Godiva’ Pru Porretta, Sikh Union Chairman Palvinder Chana, and a representative of the MND association.

Club spokesman Bali Panesar said: “This year we are raising funds for the MND association, which is a very supportive association.

“We have a family relative diagnosed with the disease and really appreciate the support they are receiving from them. Please donate to this worthy cause.”
