TWO children have been injured following a collision on the M6 overnight.
At around 12.30am this morning (Monday November 24), a Black Range Rover Evoque and a Black Land Rover Discovery Sport collided between junctions 2 and 3 on the northbound carriageway.
Police, firefighters and medics from West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene where, on arrival, one car was found to be smoking and on its side.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “The first patient, a girl, was found outside the vehicle.
“Ambulance staff treated the child for serious injuries before she was conveyed to Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
“A second patient, also a young girl, was treated for minor injuries and was conveyed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”
A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said none of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
Road closures were in place until around 5am. No arrests have been made.
