City author returns home for charitable book signing event

A COVENTRY born author is returning home for a charitable book signing event to celebrate the release of her sixth novel.

Julia Stagg is hosting an evening of books and live music at The Big Comfy Bookshop at Fargo Village on Saturday, April 8.

The former Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School pupil – who now lives in Yorkshire – will be signing copies of her latest release ‘Date with Death’.

All profits from the evening will donated to a local charity chosen in partnership with the book shop.

Julia will be joined by school friend Pandora Craig, who will be performing live music on the evening – and they are hoping to see former pupils of Cardinal Wiseman at the event.

She said: “This will be the first signing of my new book in the Midlands, so it only seemed right that I held the event in Coventry where my love of writing began.

“Date with Death is the first story in my second series of books.

“It is a light-hearted cosy crime novel set in a fictional town in the Yorkshire Dales.

“I have always enjoyed writing ever since I was in school, and I had a number of supportive teachers at Cardinal Wiseman which helped give me the confidence to get where I am today.

“Fargo Village is a wonderfully creative area and I would like to thank The Big Comfy Bookshop for hosting the event.

“I look forward to choosing a local charity with them which will benefit from the profits made from my book on the night.”

Singed copies of Date with Death will be available on the evening for £5.
