WITH temperatures set to plunge as autumn prepares to turn for winter, a Coventry children’s charity store are putting out their winter woollies to keep the community warm.
Barnardo’s is predicting a surge in demand for winter clothing as the season changes with men’s, women’s and children’s winter clothing being snapped up by bargain-hunters.
The children’s charity, which works with some of the region’s most vulnerable young people, has put together a range of clothing to inspire more people to donate to the cause.
All profits raised are used to help transform the lives of the UK’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people.
Samantha Dean, retail area business manager, said: “Our shops are a great place to find everything you need as the temperature drops, especially winter woollies, coats, jumpers, gloves, scarves and hats.
“As well as encouraging shoppers to come in and see our winter range, we are also appealing to the community to check their toyboxes for any pre-loved toys their children and grandchildren no longer play with.
“With Christmas on the horizon, it allows families to clear space and helps us to stock up on toys to sell during the festive season.”
Barnardo’s has shops on Daventry Road in Cheylesmore, Jubilee Crescent in Radford, Granmercy park in Tile Hill, Station Road in Balsall Common, and in the Warwickshire Shopping Park on Kynner Way.
