ONE of the most influential figures in early years education and TV personality Alistair Bryce-Clegg is set to be among a star-studded lineup at Coventry’s Childcare and Education expo.

Alistair is an established educational consultant having written over 20 books on Early Years education and will be among the special guests at the free event at the Building Society Arena.

He will be joined by Sid Sloane, who helped launch CBeebies in 2002, and TV gardener Ben Faulks, better known as Mr Bloom, who helps children get involved with nature.

This is the 12th time the Building Society Arena has hosted the expo, which will take place on September 23-24.

More than 2,000 delegates expected to join and the event will also feature around 80 exhibitors that will showcase their latest products and services.

Ofsted’s big conversation will be running alongside the exhibition, allowing those working in the sector to ask questions as part of a panel session.

Childcare and Education Expo’s marketing manager Kara Neill said:“The Early Years and primary education sector is facing a wide range of issues and challenges currently, and we have prided ourselves over the last 12 years in helping practitioners to find solutions.

“This year we are hosting a special Early Years Breakfast Summit – focused on nursery owners and managers, giving them a platform to voice the issues affecting them.

“This year’s schedule of speakers is very strong and the opportunity to ask direct questions of Ofsted will be invaluable to attendees.”
