COVENTRY Guide Dogs is holding a ‘Make Every Cuppa Count’ coffee morning to raise cash for the charity.

The annual coffee morning is being held on Wednesday, April, 17 at The Belgrade Theatre between 10:30am and 12:30am.

The Coventry Guide Dogs Volunteer Group is hosting the fundraiser to support people living with sight loss in the UK.

Charles Bloch, a guide dog owner from Coventry and the Make Every Cuppa Count event organiser, has said: “Every day, 250 more people join the 2million already living with sight loss, and this number is set to double by 2050.

“It costs around £55,000 to support a guide dog from birth to retirement.

“So please come along and enjoy some delicious tea and cake at our Make Every Cuppa Count event, to help raise vital funds.

“As sight loss increases, Guide Dogs expert staff, volunteers and life-changing dogs will be there to support people living with sight loss to live the life they choose.”

Donations go towards ‘puppy in training’ jackets, specialist training for the dogs and much more.
