THE UNIVERSITY of Warwick is on the hunt for mascots for its rugby clash with Coventry University at the Ricoh Arena.
It is searching for 15 children aged five to 12 to accompany the men’s rugby union first team onto the pitch in the final of the hotly contested inter-university Varsity games between the two university’s.
Warwick currently boasts a 26-year unbeaten record in the games and is hoping to uphold their title this year.
Mascots will win a free ticket for themselves and one parent or legal guardian to watch the Wasps vs Gloucester rugby match on Sunday, February 26 as well as the opportunity to accompany one of the Warwick team members onto the pitch.
How to enter…
Simply draw or paint your dream sport or activity – it could be fire powered ice skating or skateboarding baseball – and make sure it has a cool background to help the judges imagine what it would look like when played the grass, or in the sky, or even underground.
Write an explanation on how the sport works and why is the best in the world.
Only use your own drawing skills (no computers allowed) and the paper used must be A4 or A3 in size.
The closing date for entries is Friday, February 13 at 10am.
Winners will be announced on Wednesday, February 15 and winners will be contacted via email or telephone on Tuesday, February 14.
