COOMBE Abbey hotel has been named as the best hotel in Warwickshire and the West Midlands in the Muddy Stilettos Awards.

The hotel was a finalist for the best hotel or inn with more than 30 bedrooms.

The Muddy Stilettos Awards recognises lifestyle businesses across 28 counties, with 75,000 businesses nominated and 765,000 votes cast.

There were 27 categories in total, including best art space, bar, beauty salon and boutique stay.

Coombe Abbey was one of five hotels across the region to be nominated in the best hotel category, including Coventry’s Telegraph Hotel.

The hotels head of marketing Rebecca Freeman said: “We are over-the-moon to have won this award which recognises the dedication and hard work of all our staff at the hotel post-Covid.

“We would like to thank everyone who took the time to vote for us.”

Muddy Stilettos Warwickshire and West Midlands editor Laura Kearns added: “The ethos of Muddy Stilettos is all about celebrating and supporting the most unique, interesting, brilliant local businesses, and we hope that this award will give Coombe Abbey a real boost.”

They will now be put through to the inaugural National Muddy Stilettos Awards.

Each hotel will be judged by ‘Muddy’ editors through the summer, with the five successful finalists in each category shortlisted for the national finals in September ahead of the ‘Best of the Best’ winners being announced the following month.
