Council appealing for residents to have their say on One Coventry Plan

Coventry Editorial 15th Jun, 2022   0

COVENTRY City Council is appealing for people to have their say about how it delivers on its highest priorities between now and 2030.

The One Coventry Plan is informed by its residents and outlines what the council’s vision should be over the next eight years.

The plan describes how the council will work with residents and partners to bring people and organisations across the city together to make a positive difference in their lives.

The councils’ main priorities are to improve the outcomes and tackle inequalities as well as to increase prosperity for people who live and work in the city.

They also want to tackle the causes and impact of climate change.

These priorities will aim to make the city more inclusive, get residents healthier and create more jobs in different sectors.

Council leader Coun George Duggins said: “Our last Plan was written in 2016 and lots of significant events have happened since then.

“The Plan is being refreshed to ensure that it is reflective of the emerging priorities for the Council, residents, local communities and the city for the coming years.

“Through our One Coventry approach, we will make the biggest and most impactful difference to the lives of Coventry people.”
