CUSTOMER Services at Coventry City Council (CCC) is on the move.
The service based in Broadgate House closed on Thursday (August 21) and will reopen at Central Library on Wednesday (August 27).
The same services will be available. The council’s payment kiosks will also be moving to the library.
Coun Richard Brown, CCC’s Cabinet Member for Finance, said: “The move will bring all customer services alongside the wide range of library services and we hope it will make it even easier for residents to access council services and library facilities in one convenient location.”
Coun Dr Kindy Sandhu, Cabinet Member for Education and Skills, added: “By bringing customer services and the library together under one roof, we’re creating a one-stop hub in a central, accessible location.”
Customer Services deal with a wide range of public enquiries, including help with Community Support applications, as well as initial enquiries about Council Tax and Housing Benefits. The team also acts as the first point of contact for many other council services, such as Highways, Waste Services, Pest Control, Public Safety, and Housing/Homelessness support.
