WESTWOOD residents have been warned to be on their guard following a recent spate of crime in the area.

A burglary has been reported on Alan Marcell Close, while police were made aware of two attempted burglaries on Marler Road and Plants Hill Crescent.

Two motor vehicles have also been stolen from Binns Close and Ten Shilling Drive, although the latter has been found and recovered by police.

Tools have been stolen from a van on Brambling Avenue, and local police are patrolling around Ten Shilling Wood due to reports of off-road bikes in the area.
