Coventrians urged to support city's restaurants and bars this month

Coventry Editorial 24th Jan, 2023   0

RESTAURANTS and bars across Coventry have launched a range of cost cutting deals in an attempt to battle the rising cost-of-living crisis, writes Zara Parkes.

This month, venues have announced a multitude of price offers to encourage customers through their doors.

As finances are stretched further, people are spending less on leisure activities such fine dining and drinking.

Paul Jones, Managing Director at Visit Coventry, said consumer spending naturally reduced in January, but it had been heightened again by the current financial situation.

“After a strong festive period, the beginning of a new year presents unique challenges for the hospitality sector.

“It’s more important now than ever before to show support for our fantastic restaurants and bars.

“We urge everyone to get out and take advantage of these great offers and provide a boost to the hospitality sector across Coventry.”

Hospitality bosses are urging city residents and visitors to get out and support businesses through this challenging period.
