TWO Coventry animal charities have joined forces to hold their first-ever Gala Ball at Coombe Abbey on Saturday, November 19.
The RSPCA Coventry and District branch and Cats Protection Coventry will be raising cash to continue to rescue, care and find good homes for animals in need.
The event gets under way at 6.30pm and will include drinks, a three-course meal, music and dancing.
Fund-raising efforts will include a raffle and silent auction, with prizes including a hot tub, an evening cocktail cruise, and a motorhome for the weekend.
The RSPCA Coventry and District branch is a fully independent charity which is separately funded from the national group.
They need to raise money to cover costs of £40,000 per month to keep their animal centre open.
Coventry Cats Protection needs an average of £5,000 a month to stay open plus find money to cover boarding and vet fees.
Each year the charities rehome over 600 cats between them.
Tickets for the gala cost £60 each, with a table of 10 costing £550.
