A COVENTRY 17-year-old has appeared in court over an alleged burglary and car theft in Exhall.
The burglary occurred on Davies Road, Exhall, on Saturday (July 28).
Someone allegedly broke into to a house and took the occupants car keys before fleeing in their car.
The boy was arrested at 2.45am in Coventry after officers from Warwickshire Police spotted the car.
Following the arrest, a knife was seized by officers.
The boy was charged with burglary, aggravated vehicle taking, and possession of a knife.
He was also charged with another burglary in Coventry on July 25.
The boy appeared at Warwickshire Magistrates’ Court on Monday (July 30) and will appear again at Coventry Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday August 2).
