THREE Coventry brothers who made more than £700,000 from running a Class A drugs line have been jailed for over 40 years.
The siblings were trading cocaine across the UK before the West Midlands Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) shut down the drugs ring.
Altin Hoti, Elvis Hoti and Yleber Hoti were arrested in April 2021, with mobile phone records and other enquiries revealing they were at the heart of the supply chain.
Using cocaine from London, the trio would use couriers to transport large amounts of drugs in Bristol, Coventry and Warwickshire, with Altin and Elvis Hoti also involved in dealing a substantial amount of cannabis using others to supply it in Chester.
Elvis Hoti was further arrested after continuing to supply cannabis to a contact in Bristol while on bail.
Cocaine was seized worth over £175,000, as well as cannabis valued at more than £170,000 and over £450,000 in cash during investigations into the Hoti brothers.
The brothers pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply drugs between 2018 and 2021 at Birmingham Crown Court and were sentenced on July 13.
Altin Hoti, 36, and 26-year-old Elvis Hoti were both jailed for 15 years and 10 months while 39-year-old Yleber Hoti will spend 13 years and six months behind bars.
Chief Inspector Peter Cooke, of ROCU, said: “We’ve managed to shut down an established drugs line which not only operated in the West Midlands, but also other parts of the country.
“Drugs can ruin lives and fuel further crime so this is a significant result which has led to ringleaders being put behind bars for a long time.”
