STAFF AND RESIDENTS from a Coventry care home walked 100 miles and raised over £250.

Over 30 people from MHA Allesley Hall walked the grounds of the park for a fundraiser event raising cash for the home.

The cash raised will go towards arranging trip and activities for the residents.

Nick Close, activity coordinator said: “We had a great day, and everyone really enjoyed it.

“The residents had a great time doing the rounds and they were very keen to see the progress.

“Everyone got stuck in, residents, the families and staff all contributed towards us achieving the target of 100 miles.

“The weather was good, we had people from all ages supporting the cause.

“We are still getting donations, last time I checked we have reached more than £250.

“The funds will go toward our amenities fund which will go towards activities and trips.

“We had donation buckets on the day, we received some great support from the community, and we are very grateful for the support.”
