STAFF at Anchor’s Godiva Lodge are celebrating after scooping a prize at the West Midlands Finals of the Great British Care Awards.
The staff were named the region’s Care Home Team of the Year at a ceremony at the ICC Birmingham earlier this month.
The awards pay tribute to those who have gone above and beyond to improve the lives of those in their care.
Judges praised Anchor’s Godiva Lodge staff for demonstrating ‘passion and dedication to the people in their care and their families’.
The care home will now be representing the West Midlands in the national finals in March.
Anchor’s Godiva Lodge manager Ciara Monaghan said: “This is a wonderful achievement for us, I’m so proud of everyone in my team. I don’t really think it’s sunk in yet, it was a huge achievement just to be nominated but I’m so happy we’ve won.”
