Coventry Children's Mile set for big return after three years

Coventry Editorial 9th May, 2023   0

THE COVENTRY Children’s Mile returns on June 18 after more than three years.

More than 1,800 children from over 30 schools took part when the event was last held in 2019 during Coventry’s European City of Sport year.

This year’s walk, which takes place from 9am to 11am, will support 2023’s Team Coventry by raising funds for travel costs to compete in the International Children’s Games in Daegu, South Korea. The Three Spires Family Support Trust will also be supported by the event.

All participants will receive a T-shirt and certificate of participation and can choose to run, walk or jog the route.

Entries should be made via primary schools, with PE leads in each school receiving all necessary information from their School Games organiser. Entries cost £10.

The Coventry Children’s Mile 2023 is being run in partnership between Coventry City Council, CV Life and Coventry’s School Games organisers.
