COVENTRY City have released details of a special range of Wembley merchandise ahead of the Checkatrade Trophy final at the national stadium.

It includes a special edition of the Sky Blues’ home kit with with an emblem on the chest marking the historic event in writing.

Fans can also buy anything from scarves with writing making the occasion to EFL Trophy Sky Blues hats, t-shirts and flags.

All items are available to pre-order at the the club’s online store, which can be found at www.ccfc.co.uk

We revealed earlier the club estimated that by 1pm around 4,500 more Wembley tickets had been sold today – raising the total above 31,000 of the nearly 40,000 available for Coventry City fans.

The tickets today became available to a wider category of Coventry City fans – who will watch the team play at Wembley in traditional Sky Blue kit, it was confirmed this morning.

Tickets became available from this morning to fans who had kept at least one ticket from any home match at the Ricoh Arena this season, up to the last game against Swindon.

Large queues formed once again at the Butts Park Arena ticket office, and tickets were also available online.

On Monday, they were on sale to Junior Sky Blue members and corporate matchday package holders, after three weeks of an exclusive priority period for the club’s 6,000 season ticket holders.

The club also confirmed this morning that the football authorities have approved City playing in their Sky Blue home kit at Wembley against Oxford United on Sunday, April 2. Oxford will wear their traditional yellow, with a navy pinstripe.

Should the current Wembley allocation sell out, the club believes a further release of tickets by Wembley could be possible, depending on demand for tickets among Oxford United fans.

Some Oxford fans are boycotting matches for the Checkatrade Trophy as part of a national boycott in protest at the inclusion of Premier League club’s under-23 teams in the competition this year.
