CITY CLUBBERS will be more than ready for the Afterglow when DJ Mark Wilkinson headlines his first performance in Coventry.
Known as Wilkinson, Mark has become the go-to man for drum and bass and dubstep fans since the resounding success of his hit Afterglow in 2013.
The track, which sold more than 400,000 copies, took mainstream music fans by storm to reach the top five of the UK chart and attract over 45million YouTube views.
Lazers Not Included, the debut album which followed shortly afterward, scored even more success for the DJ as it went to number one on the iTunes Dance Chart in ten countries.
In the two years since his initial rise to fame, Wilkinson has gone on to collaborate with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Chase & Status and Wretch 32.
And now the drum and bass icon will be glowing up the Kasbah on Saturday (January 30).
Amarjit Kullar, of the Kasbah which is based in Hillfields, said: “We can’t wait to welcome Wilkinson for his first performance at the Kasbah at the end of the month.
“The rise of electronic dance music has seen drum and bass experience a revival, and Wilkinson is the ideal act which personifies the genre’s popularity at the moment.
“His track Afterglow has made him a legend of the genre and we are sure the crowds will enjoy singing along to the hit track on the night.”
