A COVENTRY teenager showed he had game by leading his team to fourth place in the Esports Splatoon 3 European Championships in Germany.
Isaac Adams, 17, took on the world’s top players at the tournament, weeks after captaining SPARK to the UK & Ireland title at Insomnia71 in Birmingham.
Isaac, who studies Esports at Coventry College, captained the side once again in their first European tournament.
He pitted his wits against the 12 highest-ranked teams from across the continent in a series of best-of-five matches as thousands watched on a live stream.
Splatoon 3, a third-person shooter, is one of the best-selling Nintendo Switch games with more than 10 million copies sold.
Isaac, who moved to Coventry to study his dream subject of Esports, said: “It was an amazing experience to finally be able to play and win a UK & Ireland Championship final after Covid prevented one being held for several years, and the European games were equally thrilling.
“It’s been a jam-packed year moving home to study at Coventry College, getting through my first year of study and putting together a really strong team and we did ourselves proud on the day.”
Isaac plans to study Esports production at university next year.
