Coventry firm Mirius Global Hygiene Solutions wins prestigious regional 'Innovation' manufacturing awards

COVENTRY firm Mirius Global Hygiene Solutions has struck gold at a prestigious regional manufacturing awards ceremony for its work during the pandemic.

Mirius, which makes cleaning and hygiene products, was singled out for the Make UK Midlands Innovation award.

Over the last 18 months the company has worked tirelessly supplying its Hycolin antiviral products to three main areas – healthcare, professional cleaning and the retail sector.

All sectors have been exceptionally busy but prioritising healthcare providers at the very frontline in the fight against the disease was of paramount importance.

The company also adapted its products to supply the professional cleaning sector, so they could clean and disinfect offices, schools, supermarkets and public spaces.

The awards, sponsored by legal firm Bevan Brittan and organised by Make UK, the manufacturers’ organisation, were held in Warwick to recognise the achievements of companies from across the Midlands.

The winners now go on to the National Finals which will be held in London in January.

Charlotte Horobin, region director for Make UK in the Midlands, said: “These awards are a testament to the dynamic companies and individuals working within engineering and manufacturing.

“The sector remains at the heart of creating wealth in the Midlands and as we re-build our economy there will be a bright future for companies and individuals that make the most of their talent.”
