CONSTRUCTION company GF Tomlinson has donated £500 to St Francis of Assisi’s food hub to help their efforts sourcing food for their social supermarket.
The Radford-based church offers a food hub service supporting 60 registered families by handing out a bag of esstential food supplies each week.
It also offers a range of services to the community, including employment support and volunteering.
It relies on donations from residents, businesses and funding grants.
Selina Read, Chief Executive officer from the church said: “We are extremely grateful for the funding GF Tomlinson has given to us.
“We are seeing an increase in the number of families needing food support, and it is vital that we are able to continue to help those who are facing hardship.”
