Coventry homelessness charity appealing for new trustees

Coventry Editorial 27th Aug, 2022   0

EMMAUS Coventry and Warwickshire are looking out for new trustees to support them in helping more people who have been homeless.

The charity is seeking people who want to make a difference, in particular, those who have experience in social care or working with vulnerable adults.

Trustees play a vital role in the organisation, volunteering and working to steer the charity’s direction.

The trustees meet every two months as well as being asked to contribute to an additional committee group.

Full induction and training are provided to any new trustees with travel expenses paid if needed.

The charity’s Chair of Trustees Andrew Stockdale said: “The recent cost of living crisis means that sadly Emmaus is needed more than ever.

“We’re looking for new trustees to help us deliver our vision of supporting more people across Coventry and Warwickshire.

“If you feel you have something to contribute, please do get in touch.”

He added he was looking forward to welcome new faces as the small, committed board got started on its exciting new expansion plans.
