A VITAL Coventry charity has received a £1,000 donation from a business which has named a new building in its honour.
Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice accepted the cheque at the opening ceremony of Zoe’s Lodge, a new administration building at Coventry and Solihull Waste Disposal Company (CSWDC).
Representatives of Zoe’s Place cut the ribbon on the new building at CSWDC, which has adopted the hospice as its official charity.
A spokesperson for CSWDC said: “While we are proud of the new lodge, our primary goal with this event was to shine a light on the incredible work Zoe’s Hospice does in the community.
“The previous lodge had been in place for over 20 years, and it was time for a much-needed upgrade. The new lodge is 30 per cent larger than the old one and features a more modern design with significantly improved facilities.
“As proud supporters of Zoe’s Children’s Hospice, Karl Starkey, our Managing Director, saw this as a wonderful opportunity to name the new facility Zoe’s Lodge. We were also honored to invite the charity to officially open the lodge.”
Zoe’s Place cares for babies and children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions at its site in Ash Green. It relies on public support for 70 per cent of its funding to continue its work providing expert care, comfort, and treasured moments for families facing the toughest times.
