A COVENTRY house was ablaze this morning (August, 8) with over 30 firefighters tackling the flames.
The fire in the roof and first floor of a house on Wyken Way was reported just after 4am this morning, fire crews from Foleshill, Binley, Coventry, Canley and Billesley were at the scene.
The entire roof of the property was destroyed and the property was full of smoke – twelve firefighters wore breathing apparatus to put the fire out, assisted by drone operations.
West Midlands Ambulance Service were also at the scene but stood down after everyone was accounted for with no injuries.
Wyken Way was closed whilst crews worked, and was opened when services left the scene at around 7.10am.
