Coventry man accused of robbing corner shop

COVENTRY man accused of robbing a corner shop has appeared in court.

Darren Proctor was arrested on Wednesday, November 18 by detectives investigating an armed robbery at a One Stop shop in Finham on November 15.

Staff at the shop were confronted by two men armed with a hammer and a machete at around 9.45am.

No one was seriously injured but the robber escaped with cash from the till.




Proctor, aged 35, of Bullfield Avenue, Tile Hill was arrested at his home address last Wednesday.

Following his court appearance he was remanded in custody to appear at Coventry Crown Court at a later date.
