A MAN has been charged over the death of a baby at an address in Coventry almost three years ago.
The boy − who was aged just three months − was found by paramedics in cardiac arrest at a home in the Stoke area of the city on the morning of June 29, 2018.
The baby suffered a catastrophic head injury and was pronounced dead in hospital two days later.
James Scott − who knew the child − was arrested at the time but was released under investigation while complex and extensive enquiries were carried out.
But yesterday Scott, from Coventry, was charged with murder.
He appeared at Coventry Magistrates Court and was remanded into custody ahead of his next appearance at Warwick Crown Court on Tuesday, April 27.
