The 21-year-old won Miss Coventry 2022 is one of 32 women competing in the final this Sunday and Monday, October 16 and 17, at the Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport.

The contestants will be judged in several categories including bare-face beauty, people’s choice, beach beauty, Miss Photogenic and sports, talent and charity.

The winner of Miss England will be determined through a points-based system, with the successful contestant then competing in Miss World 2022.

Sujaana is a full-time Biomedical Science student and also works as a social worker.

She started her own private tutoring business aged just 16 and now she provides free education to children in Sri Lanka including basic necessities to care homes and orphanages there.

Sujaana said: “When I found out I had won Miss Coventry 2022, I was in pure shock.

“I was so glad to have won and to be able to represent Coventry and the south Asian community in the Finals.

“This is my first time entering the Miss England competition and I’m grateful to be the first Tamil Title winner.

“I was once told that I wouldn’t be able to compete or get far in the competition due to being Tamil.

“I want to change this and be a role model for many girls like me.”
