TWO AWARDS this year isn’t enough for The Coventry Music Museum as the centre scooped a second TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award.
Now in its sixth year, the award celebrates excellence in hospitality and is given only to establishments that consistently achieve raving reviews on TripAdvisor.
In order to qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
Director of Coventry Music Museum, Pete Chambers, was fortunate enough to attend a garden party at Buckingham Palace at the end of May with his wife Julie, who also assists Pete with the running of the museum.
Julie Chambers said: “Winning the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence is a true source of pride for the entire team at The Coventry Music Museum.
“We’d like to thank all of our past guests who took the time to complete a review on TripAdvisor.”
Pete Chambers added: “There is no greater seal of approval than being recognised by your visitors.
“We can’t thank them enough and it only makes us strive to get even better.
“When we opened the museum it was basically a box full of exhibits.
“Over the last 18 months, schools and clubs have visited, Alzheimer sufferers have remembered musical faces in the museum and even cancer suffers have made the trip.
“We now know we are far more than just a box of delights, and our legacy has begun and must be maintained.
“Our extension opened in July, and that has seen us hit the second phase of our business plan.
“Then there are even more exciting times ahead.”
The Coventry Music Museum is open Thursday to Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays from 10am to 4pm.
Entry fee is £2 for adults and £1 for children.
