£135million logistics development coming to Coventry

PANATTONI, has unveiled plans for a groundbreaking £135million speculative logistics development in Coventry.

The project, named Panattoni Park Coventry, aims to set new standards in sustainable development with its net zero carbon footprint.

The development will be situated on a 47-acre site near junction 3 of the M6, recently acquired from L and Q Estates.

With outline planning consent secured for 600,000 sq ft of logistics space, Panattoni plans to build a flagship unit of 540,000 sq ft and has the potential to develop two additional units of 40,000 sq ft and 20,000 sq ft.

Panattoni Park Coventry is located in the logistics ‘Golden Triangle,’ known for its excellent connectivity.

The site offers prime access to the M6, M1, and M69 motorways, enhancing its appeal for logistics operations.

Additionally, an eight-acre parcel of land included in the outline planning consent has been acquired by Taylor Wimpey.

Gregg Titley, head of development East and West Midlands at Panattoni, said: “This is a rare opportunity for us to acquire a prime development site in the Golden Triangle.

“There is a lack of supply of large logistics units of 500,000 sq ft plus in the region, while demand remains strong.”

The acquisition aligns with Panattoni’s strategic focus on speculative development in high-demand areas with limited supply and significant rental growth potential.

By targeting the Golden Triangle, Panattoni aims to address the critical shortage of large logistics spaces while capitalising on the region’s robust demand.

Panattoni’s commitment to net zero carbon development underscores its dedication to sustainability and innovation in the logistics real estate sector.
