AN APPEAL has been launched to find volunteers for this year’s Godiva Festival.
The plea from the event’s organisers comes during National Volunteers Work which began on Monday and runs until Sunday (May 3 to 9).
The Godiva is one of the UK’s most anticipated music festivals which is held annually in Coventry.
There are a range of exciting opportunities available in The Godiva Festival team to support the event crew.
Volunteers support outdoor street shows, work backstage as part of the artist liaison team, accompany street performers, support arts and crafts activities and welcome visitors and help them find their way around the city.
In addition to the range of health and social benefits volunteering brings, some incentives on offer for Godiva Festival Volunteers can include access to the festival with a complimentary ticket for a family friend, free Godiva Festival volunteer t-shirts and a complimentary lunch voucher.
Volunteers also get a unique experience at a large scale event.
This year – when it takes place from July 5 to 7 – the Godiva Festival celebrates its 25th anniversary.
The organisers are working in partnership with EnV, a Coventry-based national award winning volunteer organisation, to launch and manage this exciting opportunity.
The event promises three days of unrivalled music, entertainment and family-friendly fun in Coventry’s stunning War Memorial Park.
