A COVENTRY man has been charged with possessing cocaine with intent to supply after an incident in Nuneaton.

Elsae Driaj, from Cossington Road, was also charged for being concerned in the supply of cocaine, possession of nitrous oxide and cannabis, as well as driving while disqualified and without insurance.

This follows an incident on Tuesday, January 16 at around 2:30pm.

A Mercedes was reportedly stopped by officers while travelling down Greenmore Road in Nuneaton.

The car reportedly pulled over in a sports centre car park, where, when the officers tried to arrest the driver, he allegedly resisted and attempted to escape on foot.

The 28-year-old and the car were searched, leading to the reported discovery of 102 bags of white powder believed to be cocaine, a small amount of cannabis, and over £200 cash.

A search was carried out at the driver’s home, which reportedly led to the discovery of several large canisters of nitrous oxide and more cannabis.
