City author Aaron Ashmore celebrating Coventry's past and present

CITY author, Aaron Ashmore has unveiled his latest literary masterpiece, ‘Made In Coventry’.

This book marks the 10th edition in his series dedicated to commemorating the city’s rich history and remarkable community.

In this latest release, Aaron takes readers on a nostalgic journey through Coventry’s past and present.

‘Made In Coventry’ explores the city’s vibrant tapestry of culture and innovation.

Speaking about his latest work, Aaron said: “I am thrilled to present ‘Made In Coventry’ to the city.

“Coventry holds a special place in my heart, and it has been an honour to delve into its history once again.

“Through this book, I aim to inspire pride and nostalgia among young readers as they uncover the hidden gems and untold stories of our beloved city.”




‘Made In Coventry’ features the artwork of 12 talented illustrators, each with a unique connection to Coventry, bringing its history to life through vibrant images.

Paulette Arochena, one of the featured illustrators, said: “It’s special to be part of something bigger than all of us.


“Getting the opportunity to brighten little faces for generations is something nobody can put a price on.”

Aaron plans to donate 1,000 copies of the new book to Coventry primary schools, bringing the total to 10,000 books provided to schools at no cost.

“I believe in the importance of fostering a love for reading from a young age.

“Donating these books to Coventry primary schools is a small way for me to give back to the city that has given me so much.”

The illustrators featured in ‘Made In Coventry’ include Ana Jesus, Mark Andrews, Jess Roberts, Emma O’Brien, Jessica Hartshorn, Paulette Arochena, Esmae Braithwaite, Ben Barter, Rob Yeo, Eleanor Loseby, Lauren Rebbeck, and Dawn Bevins.
