NUNEATON and Bedworth could be featured in future hit programmes or flicks such as James Bond, Bridgerton or Marvel after being added to a prestigious film location site.

Creative England is part of the Creative UK Group and is the first port of call for productions looking to film in England.

Previous productions the group has supported include James Bond, Marvel, Star Wars and Mission Impossible as well as dramas such as House of the Dragon, Peaky Blinders, and Bridgerton.

The sites were selected by Jonny Shelton, Production Liaison Manager for North West and Midlands Creative England after he made a two-day visit to Nuneaton and Bedworth.

The list of venues in the film directory includes the Nuneaton Museum and Art Gallery, Riversley Park, the Town Hall, Ropewalk Shopping Centre, the Canal and The United Reformed Church in Chapel Street.

Bedworth sites are Nicholas Chamberlaine Almshouses, the Ex-Servicemen’s Club, The Civic Hall and the indoor and outdoor markets.

Council leader Coun Kris Wilson said: “Nuneaton and Bedworth has some truly beautiful buildings and locations, and it is fantastic news that these could be used in upcoming films and TV programmes.

“Making these connections with the right location hunters can help to showcase our Borough.

“You never know, we may see Nuneaton and Bedworth on the large or small screen sometime in the future.”
