A MAN has been arrested as a major cannabis farm in Coventry has been closed down.
West Midlands Police seized 500 plants from the address on Humber Avenue this morning (Wednesday).
Officers from the gangs team found four separate growing rooms and living quarters.
The 22 year-old man who was arrested remains in custody.
The power was being provided by illegal mains bypass which is a fire hazard – the property is being cleared throughout the day and the National Grid are making the area safe.

The raid was part of Operation Target which is a campaign against serious and organised crime.
Chief inspector Dave Amos, from Coventry Local Policing Area, said: “This was an excellent piece of work to take a substantial cannabis farm out of action and keep drugs off our streets.
“Cannabis farms are extremely dangerous, not only to the people inside, but to the communities surrounding them.
“Not only from the crime associated with them, but also from the risk of catastrophic fires from the dangerously bypassed electricity they use.
“We rely on information from the public to build a picture of where this kind of criminality is happening, as well as who is responsible.
“I’d urge anyone concerned this kind of activity is happening where they live to get in touch with us and tell us what you know.”
Op Target has seen hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of drugs, money and firearms taken off the streets.
